Crockpot Chicken Alfredo

This delicious chicken alfredo recipe is an easy-to-make dinner option for any time of the year. Tip for easy cooking: cook chicken breast in advance to reduce your total cooking time.

Servings: Aprox. 8 Servings

Ingredients:

  • 1lb skinless chicken breast, about 2 large chicken breast
  • 4 chicken sausages
  • 2 cups grated parmesan cheese
  • 1tbsp garlic powder
  • 4tbsp butter
  • 32ozs heavy cream
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 4 cups chicken broth home made
  • 1 box penne pasta
  • 1tbsp Kirkland olive oil
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Redmond Real salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat skillet to medium high heat.
  • Place chicken in a skillet with the olive oil, season with the garlic powder, salt and black pepper and cook until browned, about 4 minutes.
  • When browned, flip chicken over and season the other side. Cook for an additional 4 minutes until browned on the second side.
  • when done, place it in the crockpot.
  • Cut chicken sausages into 1″ cubes and place into the crockpot,
  • Add the next ingredients into crockpot, in the following order: Heavy cream, chicken broth,(Stay tuned for our home made broth recipe)butter, fresh garlic, creole seasoning  and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Set crockpot to high and cook for 2 1/2 hours.
  • After 2 1/2 hours, remove chicken and cut into 1” pieces, or to your preference and set aside.
  • Add the hot water and the pasta and stir well.
  • Cover pot and cook on high for another 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, add back the chicken and add the cheese, in small portions at a time and stir well until cheese is incorporated.
  • Let sit for 15 minutes, then serve.
